Local contestant in Mrs South Africa competition

The Mrs South Africa Pageant has seen the highest quality and quantity of entrants this year. The Judges/Office had a tough task selecting the top 55 semi-finalists. Mrs South Africa Pty Ltd COE, Joani Johnson said: “We are overwhelmed by the response and it is fantastic to see the growth of the company and to see the Pageant go from strength to strength.”

Mrs South Africa women are married, sophisticated, beautiful and real.  They are wives, in most cases mothers and are also successful, ambitious business women.  Mrs South Africa women do it all.  They shine in the boardroom, cook dinner for their families, do the school run, all the while looking fabulous.

The aim of the Pageant is to highlight the positive role of married women in South Africa, and the ideal candidate is someone who will make a difference in the lives of others and who embraces the values of marriage within the diverse cultures of her  country.

The current Mrs South Africa, Chané De Kock is an ambitious, hardworking, confident, feminine and down-to-earth woman with a great vision for South Africa and its people.  As well as being a great brand ambassador for her sponsors, Chané de Kock is a wife, a mother of three, a health consultant and a motivational speaker. She lives in Stellenbosch in the Cape Winelands and was crowned Mrs South Africa 2014 in October 2013, when she walked away with prizes to the value of R600,000 including a Citroën Cabriolet, beauty treatments from Laser Beautique, outfitting by D’Orē Fashion and  Veaudry hair tools ensuring she always looks like a beauty queen.  Chané will be representing South Africa at Mrs World in Bulgaria during the month of May.  Mrs South Africa is the title holder of Mrs World, Mrs Universe and Mrs Globe.

The Top 55 will compete at the Mrs South Africa Semi-finals on the 12 April at Emperors Palace where they will be subjected to gruelling interviews by our judging panel, which will include Former Miss South Africa, Cindy Nell as head judge, Simba Mhere of Top Billing Fame and former Mrs South Africa, Marelize Steyn-Earle.  The contestants will also be competing in a swimwear round.  The day will culminate with the announcement of the top 22 Finalists at a glamorous Gala Dinner held in aid of Cansa.   Tickets for the event are on sale for R550 per ticket and can be bought through the semi-finalists or from the Mrs South Africa Office.  All the proceeds from the dinner are donated directly to Cansa, Mrs South Africa’s Official Charity.  Mrs South Africa is proud to have helped raise over R300,000 for Cansa in 2013.

The new Mrs South Africa will be crowned during a prestigious event taking place at Emperors Palace on the 8 August.
